 FEATURED PROJECT - CHURCHES
In the past 15 years, ColliSys has been chosen for electrical
design, installation and maintenance by nearly 100 churches in
the Upper Midwest. Projects have included educational and worship
center remodeling to completely new facilities ranging from a
few thousand square feet to "super churches" of more
than 300,000 square feet. ColliSys has the people, the capabilities
and the know-how to handle any size project with special respect
for aesthetics, budgets and timing.
Grace Church, Eden Prairie, Mn
ColliSys provided complete electrical services for this 360,000
square foot facility, one of the largest churches in the Twin
Cities metro area. Highlights of the project include:

was chosen as the electrical design/assist partner by HGA Architects,
Minneapolis. Project Manager Bret Young and other ColliSys team
members worked closely with HGA on the overall electrical design
and installation; with Acoustic Dimensions, the sound design
company; and with Schuller and Shook, the theatrical designer. |

| Duration
of the project was three years - nearly a year for design and
budgeting, nearly two years for construction. About 20-25 ColliSys
electricians were on the project during construction, and 35-40
worked during the final two months. |

| Theatrical
dimming in the worship center required 1,800 amps of service;
3 dimming racks of 600 amps each control lighting for the stage
and house. The design is "user friendly" - all lamps
can be re-set or changed from the ceiling catwalk. |

| Central
distribution panels for sound, lighting and stage equipment are
comparable to a large production theater, capable of accommodating
large traveling theatrical and musical productions. |

| ColliSys
installed and certified the low-voltage systems for sound, security,
computer and broadcast communications. |

| Exterior
lighting on the building and parking areas were handled by the
ColliSys Outdoor division. |
